Re: Ofsted Inspection

Dear Parents and Guardians

As you know we recently had an Ofsted Inspection and I am really pleased to be able to share with you the report.

The school is judged on 5 main areas. These are;
 Leadership and management
 Quality of teaching, learning and assessment
 Personal development, behaviour and welfare
 Outcomes for pupils
 Early Years provision

In each of these categories the school was judged to be ‘Good’ which means that the overall grade for the school is also ‘Good’.

We are delighted with this result as it reflects the hard work and dedication shown by all of the staff, Governors and the children over the last two years and I hope that you enjoy reading all of the positive comments written in it.

I am especially pleased that the inspection team recognised how much the children enjoy their learning and how the skill of the teachers and the teaching assistants enables this to happen.

On a personal note I would also like to thank all of you as parents for your engagement in the children’s learning and your continued support of the work we do here at Bincombe Valley.

As with all things in life there are always areas for improvement and as much as we will enjoy taking a moment to celebrate this achievement, we will not sit still but continue to look to ways to improve our wonderful school.

Yours sincerely
Mr L Pallister
Headteacher
