How can I help my child to learn to read? Part 2

Parents often ask how they can help their child to learn to read at home.

At Bincombe Valley Primary we use a new reading scheme called Read, Write, Inc. This has a new approach to teaching Reading, Phonics and Spelling and is used across the whole school but it’s real strength is in teaching children to read early.

If you would like to know more, please click on the links below to see the first two short videos explaining the scheme and how you can help your child at home. The third link, 'Top Tips for Parents', opens another page of short videos where Ruth Miskin gives practical advice on how the scheme works and on how you can support your own child at home.
