Would you like to become a parent governor at Bincombe Valley Primary?

We have a vacancy for a parent to join our team of governors which comprises 13 members drawn from the local community, staff and parents of children in the school.

The purpose of the governors is to work co-operatively with the school to ensure that our children continue to receive the very best possible education, now and in the future. Governors gain insight into and can contribute to all aspects of the run-ning of the school. This is voluntary but very rewarding work and of course requires discretion.

Parent governors are very important to our team because they enable us to ensure that our decision making takes due account of the views of our families. We wel-come interest from all our parents who are keen to help us make a difference. Pre-vious experience is not necessary and training is available. So if you would like to find out more please let us know through the school office, to arrange an informal chat with our chairman, without obligation.
